A brief description of wooden pallets:
Pallet - transportation and warehousing tool. This is a hard, flat platform tailored to lift and carry pallet and/ or wheelchairs, or other goods for loading the goods to the convenience store, handle and transport. Cargo loaded on pallets is transported safely. Some pallets are shaped boxes or is constructed that is suitable to transport specific goods (bulk materials, liquids, etc.).
Most are wooden pallets, but also made of plastic or metal. The material for the manufacture of pallets are selected by taking into account the material strength, resistance to environmental factors (e.g.: humidity, temperature), the price.
Pallets are easy to stack in any vehicle and easy to unload transported pallets to the destination. Most pallets are designed for loading heavy cargo (1000 kg is often a normal pallet load). Nowadays, the annual production is about half a billion pallets. The U.S. alone uses about 2 billions pallets.
One of the advantages of pallets is the way to move and transport diversity.
Until the pallets and containers were discovered, goods were loaded into boxes or barrels, some goods were transported by packs. The first pallets appeared in the twentieth century. The pallets were themselves simply, looking like a plane- on the beams nailed boards. The first pallets or trays have been introduced to the U.S. factories for low- lift trucks.
